Crown cuts

These videos will guide you through each step of cutting your mouldings. For successful cuts, it’s vital that you always work with sharp tools.

Crown cuts (use crown moulding chart and cutting plan)
When installing crown mouldings, always place the rounded part at the top and the cove at the bottom.
When cutting, keep in mind the direction in which the moulding will be installed.
Invert the moulding in the mitre box (with the rounded part facing down and the cove facing up) and place it on an angle.
Inside corner: Follow steps 1 and 3 and cut at a 45° angle.
Outside corner: Follow steps 4 and 2 by inverting the moulding in the mitre box. Cut at a 45° angle.
